Introductions: Lu, co-host of Get In Shape Guys
Hello everyone. My name is Lu and I am an overweight developer looking to get in shape and help others do the same. I am part of the Get In Shape Guys podcast and I hope that my partner in weight loss and I will be able to provide plenty of information about nutrition and workouts for you. This site is a journey that I have been procrastinating about for quite some time. As you can see from my initial pictures, I am a large boy…with a dash of sexy. Yes, I do have a sense of humor that I love to exercise often. Have fun with that and our chronicles on getting in shape.
I am going to be starting out by doing the Power 90 workout. Don’t worry, I will have a full write-up about that journey as I go. I am currently 315 lbs. and 33% body fat. Yea, I told you I was a lard bucket. But, that’s okay because fat is nothing more than just fat. I will burn that off and be a beef-cake in no time. Along with Power 90, I will be doing the Couch to 5K running program (information on that is coming as well). I have been wanting to be a runner for quite some time. I believe that started when I realized that I was slower than a turtle, and since then I have wanted to improve. Unfortunately, donuts and frosty’s got to me before that happened, but I am determined to fulfill that initial dream.
As far as goals go, I have a few that I will list below. As I achieve them I will make note of it on the site, of course. Here they are:
- Lose 80-100 pounds.
- Fit into the wardrobe I used to wear when I was just out of college.
- Inspire others to start working out and share their successes and failures.
- Have a popular website/podcast with people sharing information and experiences.
- Become a beefcake.
